I think this thread demonstrates the problem. 2 posters think Madueke is clearly the answer, 2 posters think he's obviously hopeless.

TAA and Cole Palmer are the answer because they're not here. Just like all the other players who've been left out of previous tournaments were the answer. If TAA was here he'd torn apart by Dembele and Doue in the QF and everyone would be DEFENDERS SHOULD BE DEFENDERS FIRST. Palmer would likely be playing as hopelessly as he was in the PL last season.

Choosing players based on form is now a disaster whereas in all previous tournaments playing big names out of form was the issue.

It is an impossible job.
