Thats if we are not taken to penalties on Wednesday. Yes we are CAPABLE of beating them but we need to grow into this tournament with a morale boosting victory and performance.

| By the looks of the world cup draw on 18:10 - Jun 28 by armchaircritic59 | Well that would be interesting as since the Azteca opened in the 1960's Mexico have played 47 World Cup or World Cup qualifying games there and won 40 of them, lost 2 I believe. |
Whilst this might be true, the vast majority of those games will have been qualifiers against other teams within CONCACAF, with the majority being absolute minnows against the likes of Mexico, so it's no wonder their record reads so well. As for the altitude, I think too much is being made of that. Mexico may have won all 3, but they're really not as a fearful as everyone is making them out to be.

Whilst I don’t disagree, the facts are that we didn’t concede against either of those yet struggled to score. These ‘attacking options’ you speak of need to start creating a few chances from time to time.

CDMX is pretty much like that year round, although possibly minus the rain. The altitude negates the latitude, makes it one of the best cities in the world for some lazy tourist swanning if you can afford the nicer parts.
