Yes I am aware that it's controversial. Probably classed as sexist, but I dislike women commentators/pundits in football.

Interesting discussion here, if rather depressing. It’s probably both a reflection of the fact this is an overwhelmingly male community but also a warning sign that it is likely to remain so.
Lots of ‘of course it’s not sexism because I’m not sexist’ or ‘it’s not sexism because I know a woman who agrees on some if this’. Neither is logically sound. ‘Our’ ideas are shaped by the society around us. It’s folly to think you have an objective understanding of your own motivations and prejudices, at least without years and years of careful thinking and honest self-critique.
The more interesting/useful bits spring from ‘why do I have this inclination?’ rather than ‘well I know it’s definitely not because of sexism (so it must be something reasonable)’. |  | | |
