You say that because an attack on human rights is not existential to you, whereas to people like me "live and let live" means something a bit different, especially to my queer brothers and sisters in repressive states.

I mean what Trump and FIFA have done is super dodgy, but the passage Bosnia have picked out is not relevant. Trump is not accused of interfering with the US governing body, but with FIFA directly.

Technically correct, the best kind of correct. But perhaps FIFA should addend the passage to conclude: "but if a national government rings up the FIFA President, then they can get whatever they want, if they ask very nicely."
