Has it been confirmed as 25 mins? Ridiculous they get to change the structure of the game just for the Yanks and their tv ads. The players are going to have to change their HT plans with different warm up schedule

I have not seen that confirmed, but this does not sound like 15 minutes when you consider time for the players to leave the pitch, the set up, ad breaks, players returning...

Thee was talk about this a few weeks prior to the WC and so I’d imagine that all of the teams left in the competition would be planning for that possibility.

FIFA need an overhaul. Football is not an American product, we should not be changing the whole set up for the game just to please the orange one the the US audience. This could have a detrimental effect on the final itself and player welfare as others have said. FIFA should have all the rules clearly laid out before any country bids. Just another erosion of commercialism into the modern game.

When the NFL come to the UK or into European venues we don't say to them, no ad breaks, stick your quarters you play 2 x 30 min halves here. It is their product in an overseas venue.
