Apparently if they aren't in the kit then they aren't allowed on the bench, just read that somewhere and haven't checked if actually true, but it would make sense why as you say a number of injured players have been kitted up. | | | |

It seems to be along the lines its security related, if you believe the bod on radio5.
The Henderson question was asked and yes apparently they have strict security rules who can sit within the sub area. Mgrs/coaching have to be predefined and in most cases have to wear a security badge, and players have to be in kit and all names were submitted to FIFA at the start of the tournament. So I guess if Henderson isn't in a kit and wasn't included on the coaching staff list originally, its the old, 'computer says no' [Post edited 12 Jul 10:42]
