I think TT’s latest comments are the nail in the coffin for him … the press and the players will be totally against him … it’s a shame as apart from that horrendous 30 minutes he’d done a good job managing the squad and matches I thought.
But his role is untenable now.

Think people just need to chill out.

Pretty sure we got further than a lot expected.

On last night, had we pulled it off he’d have been lauded up as the best manager ever, did he go defensive too early? Maybe.

But had he gone for it and we conceded people would have said why didn’t we shut up shop, couldn’t really win.

The right thing to have done was probably not change it so early and kept playing that way we were.

I don't think it is just going defensive too early. I think it's fine to withdraw a bit but then you need to have outlets to release pressure and keep them honest - that probably looked like a couple of fresh, pacy attackers to threaten in behind and run at people in transition. He didn't do that.

I also think it fell down when he picked his squad to some extent. Rice and Anderson are both excellent but neither are midfielders that can control the tempo of a game. There have been multiple games this tournament where i've lamented us not having Wharton to bring on. When the game was turning the other night, we could have done with someone of his ilk who is comfortable receiving in tight spaces and moving the ball up the pitch quickly and with less touches. Those sort of midfielders are why Spain have dominated international football in modern time - we had none on the pitch and arguable none on the bench.

I'm normally very patient with managers etc. But unfortunately I am very firmly in the "Tuchel isn't right" camp.

He told us that we will be better in the latter stages, against the bigger teams. We weren't. He was brought in to take us further than Gareth Southgate. He hasn't.

Him challenging the "DNA" ("It's maybe not in our DNA like it is in the Spanish DNA or Argentinian or Brazilian DNA to take the ball, control the game and the ball, which is also a big problem,"), is him just setting up "English football" to be the scapegoat, not him.

That's a horrendous, very distasteful comment, as if the players aren't intelligent/skilled/adaptable enough to change tactics, so England can never win anything again.

I think the FA might have stuck with him going into 2028, on the grounds of continuity + that he'd learn from the tactical error of those second-half subs he made, and I'd have supported that - but not now. He's supposed to be a top coach and able to change player mindsets, even if that was the problem (which I don't think it was).

- Mainoo left on the bench with zero mins played

Add to this how scared he is of bringing Kane off when his legs had clearly gone.
