The guy is either genuinely disturbed, or just making a poor attempt at engagement bait.
Although I must admit taking that bait myself fairly regularly by replying to his nonsense. I realise there's not much point in arguing, but I'm also thinking about other people reading who might be influenced and the need for more rational voices in his discussions. |  |

News for you - myself and all but one of my equally elderly friends has stopped using that platform unless they can't message people any other way, because it's so abhorrent.
And the one exception only continues using it because his huge extended family of mainly much younger people keep doing so to share photos etc. [Post edited 17 Jul 9:42]
