Can you guess the national sides that have played at 8 or more World Cups without making it to the final?

The number of World Cups, first appearance at the finals and best-ever finish are given for each team.

There are 15 to try and get in five minutes.

Point of order on Yugoslavia - technically Yugoslavia was made up of eight federated entities, wjhich would have included Croatia, who reach the final in 2018 have made their debut 20 years earlier.

Point of order on Yugoslavia - technically Yugoslavia was made up of eight federated entities, wjhich would have included Croatia, who reach the final in 2018 have made their debut 20 years earlier.

Think OP has this right, as rightly or wrongly Serbia are recognised as the successors of Yugoslavia including inheriting their history etc
