Since it is incredibly obvious that this is what they would be used for, why on Earth did UK governments not get ahead of this and ban them coming into use? Why do we have to wait for all sorts of obvious harms from non-consensual filming to occur first?

My brother in law has a pair of the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. He takes about 5 holidays a year so uses them a lot for photos. My Mrs asked me if I wanted a pair but I said no as I like the pairs of sun glasses I already have and wouldn't downgrade.
When we went on my nephew's stag night my brother in law was told to take them off as some of the boys were worried they would be filmed in compromising situations.
There is defintly a market for them, especially if you film a lot and upload to socail media but they are not for me. |  |
