It was like the best classics races.

And the series of monument races in the spring - each a one day race covering ~200km - are usually far more exciting than any stage of a grand tour.

This year Paris-Roubaix and Milan-San Reno were both sensational races.

Truly epic finish, one of the best I can recall in ages. Van der Poel was involved in a similar one earlier this year in the E3 Saxo Classic which is a Tour of Flanders warm-up race. That was pretty good too, but this being so high profile was just fantastic. Absolutely at the limits of capability. Van der Poel is a beast, in cyclocross he is as dominant as Pog is at road racing.
