I've seen on social media that at least one of the candidates (Pamela Walford) is a former Reform UK candidate who stood for Maldon in the 2024 General Election. This would raise the possibility that some of the independent candidates are merely Reform stooges, who are standing to try and split the anti-Farage vote. |  |
