Interesting detail on the Chelsea 'irregularities' 22:43 - Jul 31 with 1262 viewsZx1988

I presume this is the detail of the charge/punishment that hit the headlines a few months ago.

I'm in two minds on the punishment situation. On the one hand it feels incredibly light but, as has been suggested, if the new owners noticed it and reported it to the FA, there's probably an argument that they shouldn't be punished for a previous owner's wrongdoing?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Tell Mick Harford and Luton Town that!!

Mike Newell blew the whistle on some financial irregularities under previous ownership, and Luton ended up with a 30 point deduction.

I do not like the FA largely saying a club had no footballing advantage on the pitch because the issues are financial, as they have been, as if the two are not deeply interconnected. The idea that finances don't allow individual players or a quality of player is disingenuous, but helps them create air between "sport" and "money", when we all know they are one and the same.

Or the footballing authorities are trying to path a way for Man City to receive no points deduction and to simply brush them under the carpet.
