Rangers friendly 19:21 - Aug 4 with 1366 viewsGeoffSentence

Anyone recall a friendly game at Portman Road against Rangers a few years back, I think it was in the Burley years. I think they sold out the south stand and rather more fervent than you'd normally expect for a friendly,

Yes and they were a bunch of racist pricks. I hope that they are liquidated and all their history becomes meaningless. The fact that this has already happened doesn’t dilute this point.

Bunch of c**ts.

Thankfully, Glasgow Rangers died in 2012 - all that's left is Sevco FC.

I remember seeing a Rangers fan puke all over himself outside the Giles Tavern, brush the sick off himself, then move straight on to the next pint like it was the most normal thing in the world. All whilst a guy from Belfast draped in a St George flag kept repeatedly telling me “I’m British” in a very Ian paisley style accent. Very odd night. There were a lot of them too.

I remember that game too and was there with my wife and two young children (then). I always had a soft spot for GR because of Terry Butcher but, sadly, saw a few unsavoury incidents which tarnished their reputation. Can’t remember the score.

Glasgow Rangers fans took the roof off with noise in that game. Kinda dispelling the ," poor acoustics" theory from the new stand...
