Wish him well, he left at the right time, untarnished as a town manager. In Gary we now trust.

Oh.. and £8m richer

You realise it’s not your money don’t you?

Poll: How many of yesterdays team will be in the team for the 1st game of next season?

Are there suggestions that this is now in the offing?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Richer- any club but Celtic though - vile club and they play in green
Rangers on the other hand would be ok

Having no Scottish or Irish DNA (though I do like Scotland and the people were friendly the other week) and not really understanding how they can mix sport with religion, I couldn’t not care a less what they do in their Mickey Mouse league.

Also I’m not particularly interested what Kieran does or where he goes. Up to him. He’s left now and will always be more than welcome at this club in the future, possibly for the ‘send off’ he so richly deserved.

As for the Celtic job, I can see why he might take it as a sort of interim, but I’d have thought somewhere like Everton or Villa down the line would be a better challenge.

Bizarre. You'd feel nothing despite him being one of the greats here? Surely you'd wish him well and keep a soft spot for him?

He wanted a break after putting his heart and soul in for 5 years.

Nothing bizarre about it at all. I said I'm grateful for what we had together, because I genuinely am. It was a brilliant few years. However, he wanted to leave, so we move on. I don't have to become chairman of his fan club wherever he ends up next.

Put it this way... your girlfriend of five years leaves you. You've built a nice life together, planned the future, even picked out the kitchen tiles and the worktop you worked so hard for in your dream home. She'd flirted with a couple of lads before, then one day says, "I'm off."

You appreciate the memories, sure. But are you then expected to spend your weekends cheering her on while she's off on city breaks with Dave from Accounts?

Nah, not for me. Thanks for the good times, all the best, but I'll be focusing on myself now and in this context my own team now. Any approach other than that, I find odd..

Anyway.

I've been hoping it will be this. Always had a soft spot for Celtic. It's the Irish thing too.

I know MON recommended KM to the board there before. And we know KM's boyhood affinities.

At same time KM will want that shot at top end PL. So who knows

Wherever he goes I hope (and know) he'll be a huge success. Good luck to him.

I always knew you were a weirdo!

RIP Sir Bobby

It is integrity at this stage. He said he needs a rest. If he turns up somewhere before Jan thats a fudge. Starts next season as a new manager someplace else and we are all good.
