I think numbers can still change up until the end of the window where clubs need to submit their squads to the FA. Suspect Emersonn takes 15 (as he has worn in pre-season) for the Sunderland game. But if Hirst then leaves in the final week of the window, I imagine he’d take 9.

I'm a traditionalist and hate all these stupid numbers. Or maybe I'm just a miserable old git.

Squad numbers should be 1 to 25 with an exception for U21s in the first team squad. And numbers 1 to 11 should correlate to the player's position.

Having players wear '66' etc is ridiculous IMO.
