| Kipre 20:36 - Aug 15 with 2128 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | Might have been a bit harsh on him with my analysis, don’t really see regular minutes and would worry if that was the case. However, could be very handy when hanging on for a result, even saw that at a Charlton in a must win. Dan Burn style last 5 cameos might be welcome on the road etc. | |

I’d worry about him playing many 90 minutes I must admit. He also really isn’t a natural left sided CB as Boro and Stoke away showed us!

| Kipre on 20:43 - Aug 15 with 2026 views | John_Warks_Willy | If he’s happy being a bench warmer and getting time when we need his quite unique attributes, and I really rate the guy so I hope so, then we will be very fortunate having an absolute monster to unleash when needed. | |

Agreed. Can’t say I’d want to see him start if we had an injury.
| Kipre on 20:52 - Aug 15 with 1906 views | Garv | We bemoaned not having enough physical monsters last time, Kipre is one of them. Haven't seen Diop yet but you don't get much stronger than Kipre. If we can keep him away from any foot races and generally mask his lack of pace, he'll do okay. | |

He's a physical beast and good at defending set peices but also slow. Can imagine him and GON know his best use this season will be if Town are up by a goal but backs against the wall in the last 10. You know you won't get out so you don't need to worry about someone running behind anyway so the speed element doesn't matter. But you can stick him as a man marker on the oppositions target and big man especially at corners. If he's even the difference for 1 or 2 games to get the 3 points then price wise and salary for the season is worth it. Especially if the next CB we buy is u21 (like J Bah) his experience is worth the bench spot. Obviously i have no idea but can imagine he is the mentor type who likes to take younger player under his wing. The problem is he isn't a 90 minute player and for that reason we need another CB capable of covering O'Shea or Diop if worse happens

Yes exactly this, we really do need another LCB before the window closes.

| Kipre on 23:30 - Aug 15 with 1071 views | armchaircritic59 | Another aspect is if we trying to get something out of a game very late on, chucking him upfront could at least cause a bit of chaos ( he was a striker originally apparently ). So for that matter would sending Scherpen up for corners!! | | | |

Disagree here. He’s a big guy yes but he loses duels. Same concern I have with Greaves. You can be tall but you have to use your attributes and Kipre and Greveas don’t enough imo [Post edited 16 Aug 0:52]

Agree on both there they are both too lightweight in my opinion, hope Greaves can kick on a bit this year as a great player there and Kipre could be used in certain situations but yes we really need another.
