I imagine they’ll be a lot of sales over the next few weeks, Hirst, Palmer, Taylor, Al Hamadi, Humphrey’s, Ogbene, Mehmeti (potentially), I do wonder if philogene still goes or potentially Nunez although I liked him dropping deep in that game against Union Berlin. Maybe one of Furlong/Johnson if Ouattara is viewed as a RB
Probably only need now:

Another CB (probably need 5 CBs especially if we use 5 at the back in games
Experienced back up ST
Maybe another CM if both Nunez and Taylor depart
We’ve still got 2 loans to use so wouldn’t surprise me if we used both of them up before end of the window - I don’t think we can say the club haven’t tried there best this summer as has been one hell of an effort post the World Cup to get the squad ready! |  | | |  |

I think we have a much better balance to the team since our effort two years ago. The squad quality and depth is enhanced too. But I will give you a true answer a couple of days after the Liverpool game in a three weeks time.

I think the experienced striker needs to be more than back up. Too much to expect Emersonn to be the main man going into this season.

I'd say we need a 1st choice striker, Emersonn may turn out to be that but he's young, raw, still quite inexperienced and adjusting to a new league so I'd like to see another more established stirker. |  |
