I wonder how Kieran McKenna will be feeling this evening… 15:23 - Aug 21 with 832 viewsSitfcB

…on the eve of our Premier League return.

Relieved that he’s out of it all? Zero stress? Proud of his achievement in getting us back and content with his decision?

Regretting his decision? Disappointed he’s not involved?

Hope it’s the former.

Sure he will be keeping an eye out for us.

I suspect elements of all of the above.

Cool, calm, collected, calculating. Twas ever thus.

He never got too emotional at the ups or the downs, and whilst things may be different behind closed doors, clearly he was able to control the proportionality of his reactions better than many. The Warren Buffett of football managers, maybe.

If Town do well without him, he may be better at not 'kicking himself' than many in that position.

I imagine he has enjoyed the fine weather both home and abroad, and also that he is looking forward to the possibility of taking over at an underperforming mid-table club at some point after the November clamour for managers' heads.

He's a canny one that McKenna. We benefitted from it for a good few years. He was always going to have a cunning strategic approach when it came to his own career path too. He was wonderful at finishing 2nd with Town. Wherever he goes, I would be delighted for him to finish 2nd again as long as we're finishing top!

Relaxed, loaded and waiting in the wings for a premier league job.

Probably enjoying having a Friday evening relaxing with his family/friends!

And tomorrow I'm guessing he'll be watching & hopefully enjoying the game, rightly proud that he got us here.

I did wonder that. I assume he still lives in Ipzwich?

I dont think he will have any regrets.

If he left for health reasons, I suspect he will enjoy living in the town and being a supporter (even if hes probably an arm chair supporter).

I wonder how Paul Jewell will be feeling this evening on the eve of our Premier League return.

Relieved that he's out of it all? Zero stress?

Having a pint with Bullard and Bowyer?
