I think it's more complex than that. Like it or not, Villa are the bigger club with palpable European ambitions and Abraham can't be blamed for wanting to be part of that. He has a World Class (on his day but he has off days) striker to compete with in Jackson and, at 28, it was a question of being top dog at Town for just one year or fighting his way back at the team he is contracted to. As the Jackson transfer unfolded, and as he got a stern reprimand but no feck off from Emery, Abraham had a few things to weigh up...and he probably won't know if he has made the right decision until January.
