Instead of Palacios or Lukic? |
Palacios & Lukic are both great midfield options, but as a partnership against PL opposition, they are too open & lose their shape too often. For me, when playing with 2 in the middle, it should be one of Palacios & Lukic alongside one of Luis & Matusiwa, depending on fitness & form.
We looked so much better, immediately, when Luis came on & started to win possession & block off the central movement from Palace. (I appreciate that it was a different game by that point, but believe it holds true)
An opportunity to fresh up in the Cup v Arsenal, but I'd be looking to start Palacios & Luis against Armstrong & Hackney/Jim Rockford next Saturday. | |

Yes, he's a deep-lying playmaker and a lot of that is invisible, understated work.
