It really couldn't be about any other club.

"Some clubs do build spa facilities, do build leisure facilities. Mmmmm There's a reason why they're in League one with those facilities"

This. Is. A. Place. Of. Work.

It's amusing but, unless there's some sort of behind-the-scenes beef between Ashton and the Leicester hierarchy, it feels a bit unnecessary.

Especially when there are no guarantees in football that any club won't end up doing a Leicester, regardless of whether their training centre is a place of work.

Not a prophet, or a stone-age man; just a mortal with potential of a superman.

Sounded to me as though there is something going on that we don't know about, it was made especially weird by the fact that Burns and Chappers are there.

And doubly so given that Leicester were probably quite helpful when it came to the Burns transfer. Without a willing buyer, even at a token fee, we'd have been stuck with Wes and his new terms.

Don’t think there’s a lot of love between the clubs, especially on our side towards them, goes back a few years.

Maybe Ashton overheard Srivaddhanaprabha, (Had to cut and paste that), saying something disparaging during the Milk Cup tie.

Did feel rather unnecessary and the sort of thing that can come back to bite you on the ass. Far better to take the high road as a CEO and not go the banter route.

They were far from the easiest club to deal on transfers a few years back, I know that.

The Leicester training ground holiday camp thing was mentioned to me by an ex-player long before Mark Ashton made reference to it.

Not just transfers either, leading up to/on match days as well.

I think as a fanbase we took a dislike to them as well really, direct competitor for a few years, weren’t able to beat them!

Think when David Nugent was there it was pretty much the peak of that wasn't it?

I was wondering who that was about, but this makes sense. Chappers and Wes will enjoy bombing in that pool then

It was said during a stadium tour that Leicester were the least considerate team and left the changing rooms in an absolute mess. Maybe says something of their culture and downfall at the time.

They cheated us out of a league title in 2023/24 with their Manchester City tribute act, while we played by the rules and finished what a point behind them.
