Been going home and away 37 years, only ever left early once, Leeds away when you and my mother in law got worried by the Leeds fans who kept trying to get in with us. The ref sort of abandoned the game with about 2 minutes to go, but did bring the players back on to finish the last couple of minutes

| Anyone leave early ? on 21:42 - Oct 10 by Millsey | Always leave 87 min but waited until the 88 💙💙💙💙💙💙and went wild in the car park, got back to Lowey at 6 instead of 7.30 💪💪💪💪 Plus I’m a lucky omen |
Wouldn't you rather have got back to 'Lowey' at 1930 and not missed out on that amazing last 8 minutes? I just find this really bizarre, those moments ( or the hope of them ) are why we go to football aren't they?

| Anyone leave early ? on 08:04 - Oct 11 by lazyblue | My mum is 84 and has been to Portman road since the 70s , she leaves on 85 mins to try and get ahead of the rush as she struggles to walk these days so I hope you don’t have a go at her for leaving early! |
Have a go? obviously not. But again I find it bizarre because so much happens at the end of games. Surely better to wait for the rush to clear at the end of the game, than leave early. Each to their own of course, but if i'm lucky enough to reach 84 and still be able to make it PR, i'm going to be savouring every moment I can.

| Anyone leave early ? on 08:24 - Oct 11 by Radlett_blue | I left the home game with Liverpool in 2002 after 88 minutes. With Town 0-5 down & 2 gloating scousers sniggering quietly behind me, I'd had enough. Sadly, I missed Heskey scoring Liverpool's 6th. |
I've only ever left early once. That was against Coventry in 2010. We were leading 2-1 going into injury time and I was bursting for a pee. Heard the Coventry cheers whilst in the toilets and thought fcuk it, I'll just carry on walking to the car as we'd blown our lead. By the time I left the ground I could hear louder cheers, switched on the radio to find out we won 3-2. I've never left early since that day.

And I left in disgust when they equalised!

Last time I took my father he was 83, walking stick & unsteady on his feet, we waited until @ 15 mins after FW, had sat in Cobbold upper & parked the car in PR car park as near to the stand as possible. Sadly he is highly unlikely to go again, so envy those that can still enjoy taking elderly relatives. FWIW I think the OP was referring to those without the challenge you have. Also, I know OP & due to work commitments he, like myself, can only get to 1 game a month, so we tend to maximise i.e. leave ground last

Why bother going in the first place if it’s more important to be home by 6 than 7.30zI really don’t understand this at all. So you have missed both our home wins by leaving early. |
I wouldn't mind betting that the majority of supporters who leave early live in Suffolk. How much time can it really add to the journey if you stay until the end? 30 mins regardless of whether you're travelling by car, bus or train is my guess. For a 3pm kick-off I get home at 9pm on a good day, so if I walk through the front door an hour later it really doesn't make much difference.
| Anyone leave early ? on 06:58 - Oct 12 with 26 views | Bluebell | The only time we have left early from a game was at Leicester in November 2012. Mick McCarthy had just become manager. We left when the score was 5.0 and as we were walking out, the crowd were cheering a 6th Leicester goal! | | | |
