| Interesting run of games though Nov/Dec - can we maintain 1.25PPG? 10:48 - Oct 25 with 1086 views | unstableblue | It’s been a decent start - we have had some good fortune, but we’ve made our own, and perhaps left a point at Old Trafford or Everton.Certainly squeezed a point from Friday night. 8 games - WLLWLWD - 10 points secured, 10th place in the table, 1.25PPG… that gets you 47.5 come the end of the season which would guarantee safety and a decent finish/season. One game left in October, then 9 in November and December. And it’s a really interesting block of teams, in varying form and trajectory. With the opportunity for points. I think by the time we visit Spurs I fear their expensively assembled squad will be clicking into some strong form - Villa, Chelsea, Brighton also stand out. Is WDLLWLWLDD plausible? Leaning to the pessimistic. 12 points from 10 games, 1.2PPG, keeping the current run rate. Gets us to 22 points as we move into 2027. Strong position half wayish through season. | Interesting run of games though Nov/Dec - can we maintain 1.25PPG? on 11:01 - Oct 25 with 1035 views | surreyblue | The first 30 games of the season split up quite nicely into 5 game blocks. Obviously 6 points from the first block, then 4 so far from this block. Realistically we need to be targeting another 4 points from the next 2 games - that gives us 14 from 10 games. The next block of 5 games is tricky. Spurs and Villa are coming into form, Leeds have looked good all season. 4-5 points in that run would be good - win versus Coventry and then 1-2 draws from the rest. Then the run of Christmas games - Brighton, Brentford, Chelsea, arsenal, Coventry again. Another 4 points there would be a good result. That gets us to 22-24 from 20 games - matching our total points from last season and likely putting us in that 14th-17th bracket we all strive for. | | | |

We’re on the same page in terms of expected results I think these next 2 are the key to this block of 10. Get the 4 points we both expect from Cov (a) and Bournemouth (h) we’ve take further pressure off, accrued points. And the pressure is off for that tough block. Hoping Lukic back Saturday.

Yep. So important that we win our games against our direct rivals which I see as Hull, Cov, Fulham, Palace and Sunderland. If we can pick up 8 wins and 2 draws from those 10 games then we are in a wonderful position. Then another 14-18 points from the remaining 28 games feels doable to get us to low 40's feels doable.

Good Sunday morning discussion Surrey - I don’t think Town are going to do a Sunderland, over perform. We’ll be in the survival mix for the season, but I’m hoping/predicting we’ll actually stay above the bottom three. Our survival obviously relies on Hull/Cov struggling, likely, and indeed hoping Brentford win their today ahead of our visit. Then it’s Man City deduction, or one of the teams you sight - Fulham, Sunderland, Palace - to continue to falter. Friday night was a bit sobering Forest are of a similar ilk to those teams. And they showed the depth in quality in players. I do think a couple of the 3 teams will sort themselves and get up the table. Fulham, Sunderland and Palace have strong attributes and players. Perhaps the European adventures will cripple Sunderland and Palace. Fulham best Cov with relative ease yesterday Going to be interesting to see how Sunderland and Palace do today. It’s fascinating and exciting. Here’s to three points Saturday - COYFB

I think your run of results is probably reasonably on the money. I’d be very happy with that. I maybe lean towards a point per game average being likely. Who we pick up points against is going to start to be more important.

Re Forest, I'm not as worried by the game as I think the conditions played a part and suited their style of being a quite pragmatic and direct team looking to catch us on the break high up the pitch.

Lack of clean sheets and going behind a lot is a big worry although at least this team can get something when going 1 down.

You have to believe. We will not get rolled over like last time, whatever happens we can give all of these sides a game and are capable of scoring at any time.
| Interesting run of games though Nov/Dec - can we maintain 1.25PPG? on 14:59 - Oct 25 with 464 views | ClareBlue | I think it's really hard to predict ant premiership result at the moment. Getting a point on Friday after being outplayed in the 2nd half and having a bit of luck is completely different to last time when we would have lost that game. Over the years that's how teams stay in the league and I feel really optimistic. But three games from now we could be in relegation position. But I think Europe for one of Palace or Sunderland is going to relegate them. It's fortunate for us they qualified this year. There's going to be injuries and tiredness for them in the coming weeks. If we are ever going to stay up and get established there won't be a better chance than this year. | | | |

Exactly, last time we would have got beat 5-1 by Forest. We played below average and still got a point which is a very good sign in this league.
