| Another reason to enjoy Man Utd's struggles on 15:10 - Oct 26 by Vic | I wondered that too! I wasn't aware that, apart from being stupid rich, he was such a failure. Then I saw the link below and realised there is indeed a pattern. How much can be laid at Ratcliffe's door I've no idea, but it's an interesting read. https://cyclinguptodate.com/cy |
Very much doubt Radcliffe has any say in Mercedes F1 performance. Their under performance since Ineos became a sponsor was down to F1 regulation changes that favoured Red Bull - and with this seasons new changes, they look almost certain to regain both individual and team championships.

| Another reason to enjoy Man Utd's struggles on 14:45 - Oct 26 by Exiled2Surrey | Not sure sailing is a great example - GB had never got to the final of the Americas Cup before his investment - however, what has happened since the last AC is no doubt less constructive |
Maybe but he massively outspent everyone else in 24 and still didn’t win. The winners spent around a third of his budget. Less constructive is a diplomatic way to describe an acrimonious falling out with Ben Ainslie and a multi million court case that still rumbles on.

In other words we perfectly legally put our money out of the reaches of the UK tax man. He has done the same thing. The difference is he has rather more money than you or I. Also he is on record as being a Utd supporter for many years. He’s not the first to find out that running a football club is a tough gig. Perhaps you think that everyone who has an ISA is a tossed too.

What a bizarrely simplistic defence of Ratcliffe, and what an even more bizarre extrapolation of my criticism of him. Ho Hum.

The UK government created ISAs to encourage people to save and invest. They didn’t create Monaco to encourage people to escape contributing to the public purse.
