| Ouattara 16:36 - Nov 1 with 2074 views | The_Romford_Blue | He’s a bit good isn’t he. We all kinda knew Palacios and Enciso were going to be superb. Did anyone quite think Outtara was going to be this impactful this quickly? He’s one of the first names on the team sheet for me. Can see how he has been used in multiple positions too - very dynamic footballer. | |

| Ouattara on 17:21 - Nov 1 with 1789 views | WolfieAtTheBack | He is some player, if we can keep hold of him for a few season that would be wonderful. Re sale if he keeps as he his say 40 - 60 m + %. On FM 27 he is not as highly rated, which means nothing ha | | | |
| Ouattara on 17:25 - Nov 1 with 1751 views | Stenvict | I expected him to be good. GON obviously knew how good he was, which gave me confidence. He's the sort of player teams like Brighton and Brentford pick up and treble their money on within 2 years. | |

Indeed. I'm sure O'Neil has a few other targets in mind from Ligue 1.

| Ouattara on 20:04 - Nov 1 with 1368 views | HighgateBlue | His signing, at that price, didn't make any sense unless he was seen as a starting right back. The fact that GON had direct experience of him and signed him for a chunky fee in a position where we needed a nailed-on starter made me think that maybe GON knew a thing or two, and he might be an absolute gem. But then we saw him tried elsewhere to start with, and it wasn't even clear that he was seen as a RB, let alone a nailed on starter. Maybe he was just a utility player who was expensive because he's young and we had money to throw around? And Dara at RB? Oh no. What's gone on here then? And then came his performances, once he'd got himself properly through the door and his coat off. My, what a player. Bags of promise for the future, plus more than enough delivery right here, right now, in a seriously tough league. Across GON, Ouattara and Enciso, we've taken the most potential out of Strasbourg since Monsieur Wenger left! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Ouattara on 21:44 - Nov 1 with 1104 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | Yes, me, the day we signed him. Abdoul Quattarra by Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior 17 Aug 14:45Very excited about this one. The pedigree of some of these players that come through the academies and ranks in France is unreal. Many with African heritage and play internationally for Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal etc. Usually translate well to the Premier League.
He's obviously already representing Ivory coast at U23 level..
Ouattara came through a year or 2 behind Diarra who Sunderland signed from Strasbourg last summer at 30M and had an incredible first year in the PL and would likely be worth a fair bit more already.
Obviously only 20 so needs to be giving time to adjust but I can't imagine the plan is Furlong for 38 games in the Premier League so let's hope he lock down the RB/RWB role for us in the coming months!
This is the kind of super high ceiling signing you want from abroad!

I tired to tell people at the time! Someone was arguing he would just be a back up option because of his flexibility.

| Ouattara on 23:12 - Nov 1 with 854 views | TripSwitch | I like him a lot too. Good RB, would be a good RWB too in a back 5. Athough struggling to see how he played at CM, surely too one footed and technically lacking to play there. | |

Is he too one footed? I can't say I've noticed him being especially more one footed than other players and his goal against Fulham was a lovely strike with his left foot. By extension, it's worth pointing out most CMs aren't genuinely two footed. SB

| Ouattara on 10:44 - Nov 2 with 272 views | Billywitch | When he came on at MUFC away i genuinely had no idea who he was, or that we'd signed him. Which threw me as I spend a fair bit of time reading ITFC related news. Turns out he signed when I was on holiday, so that why I missed it. Anyway, he is everything in a PL footballer that we want. He's strong, quick, a pure athlete. He's also an extremely good footballer with a good brain. Stay up/go down, he's on to bigger and better things, but will be about £40m in our bank account | | | |

Yeah, I do think hes fairly one footed. Can obviously strike it well with his left but I think its more a balance thing being comfortable taking passes from all angles and if necessary using weaker foot to get passes off that some players have in their body physics and others doesn't and he definitely doesn't. See Lukic, Enciso or Palacios, compared to say Jack Clarke whos another who is extremely one foot dominant. For that reason hes better off on the wing in whatever role. As others have noted his athleticism is exceptional and has footballing intelligence to boot [Post edited 2 Nov 11:51]
