| Luke Chambers on Nuno's sacking 19:55 - Nov 3 with 2005 views | GlasgowBlue | Roughly what he just said when asked was he surpised that Nuno was sacked. "Nor really. A club of West Ham's stature looking to bounce back after relegation and sitting in 8th place in the Championship is not ideal". West Ham after 13 games: 8th place, 22 Points, 5 Points off Top 2. Ipswich last season after 13 games: 10th place, 20 points, 7 points off top 2. And we all know how the season ended. | |

I'm just surprised that Chambers didn't use Ipswich as a comparison rather than agree with the West Ham board.

If Scott Parker does end up there that’ll be the end of the 6 nil wins they’ve been enjoying. Guess they’ll take the dull one nils if it means an immediate return to the big piggy trough.

Yeah, I think it’s an odd one. Although by normal standards, owners crapping themselves at the first sign of adversity is also fairly commonplace. So both stupid and unsurprising at the same time.

I think with the squad West Ham have, and holding on to players like Bowen, the expectation there is much higher than for us last season. They seem horribly inconsistent, which is obviously not deemed good enough. Plus, as others have said, Nuno won't have the credit in the bank that KM had here. He had almost a full season last year, and got them relegated, then not looking entirely convincing this season.

Exactly this. It’s not hard to understand is it. Nuno had to get off to a flyer or he was fcked.

| Luke Chambers on Nuno's sacking on 05:45 - Nov 4 with 691 views | mellowblue | There was an acceptance that we were slow to gel at the start of last season and Ashton at least has the experience to recognize that. I have no idea who runs W.H now to compare. Gold, Sullivan and Brady would have had the experience to maybe give him longer. Nuno has been on shaky ground for a while as W.H expectations as an established Prem team are high whereas McKenna was not expected to keep us up. | | | |

I'd argue they won't attract a better manager (from a club progression sense) than Nuno while being in the Championship. Nuno is a great coach and probably too good for the Championship, he could have been an ace as the season played out, so a bit knee-jerk for me. I don't see it improving them changing them, especially under Scott Parker. They didn't recruit for that league, it's a different animal to the Premier League. Their defence makes ours look solid.

| Luke Chambers on Nuno's sacking on 15:11 - Nov 4 with 69 views | Radlett_blue | Apparently, Nuno often hardly spoke to the players at half time & his pre match team talks were often quite perfunctory. | |
