Brand found guilty on 13:56 - Nov 7 by Kievthegreat
As an update to the induction he was granted against an accuser, Dan Neidle got access to the final injunction and it's even more dystopian as she was also prevented from discussing her accusations any further with the police.
A good reminder that injunctions like this do not protect based on innocence, but the powerful who can afford giant legal teams to secure them.
On Thursday I wrote about the 2014 injunction Russell Brand obtained against a woman who accused him of assault.
I've now obtained the final order. It's breathtaking.
She had no lawyer. No trial. Yet she was silenced for life - even barred from speaking to the police.

Sky News aired somebody working with the Good Law project claiming tht several members of a well known Irish Rap act and an English comedian/author have allegedly been using SLAPPs to silence accusations of sexual violence.

A friend of my wife's from Uni was involved in the Edinburgh comedy scene around this time. She was advised not to be alone with him.
As somebody posted earlier in this thread "Feels like a case of people close to him at the time at least having some suspicion that all was not right with him".
If his "problematic" behavior was known at the time in comedy circles then he shouldn't have been indulged as he was.
Maybe my downvoter thought this was funny as well.

Some people within the comedy circuit knew about him and what he was like. But not sure the people who were laughing in the clip which you posted knew - I doubt it.

SLAPPs though are of a different nature to harassment orders which are good thing: think the bullying ex-partner or the stalker of a well-known celebrity. And the conduct involved may also lead to a criminal conviction.
And I am not sure your edit will be sufficient for Phil's purposes because it still gives away a fair degree of information, and even extends it to another person whom Sky presumably hasn't identified.

The person's interview is still on Sky News so I didn't really need to edit.

Why do you doubt it? More and more people from the comedy world coming out saying they knew.

I don’t think he’s funny, and I don’t think you’re funny.
Weaponising the rape and sexual assault of multiple women to have repeated attacks on a football message board at a bloke you haven’t liked for a decade or so, is the behaviour of an absolute wrongun.
I really don’t understand why your behaviour is tolerated here.

Really don’t think this thread is the place for this sort of point scoring, or GB was doing that. You’re also talking about a bloke who victim blamed earlier this week then edited it when confronted, so I think the personal stuff is best done off the thread when it’s been such a good discussion.
