I remember discovering a fantastically puerile website that you could enter a postcode and it would give all rude place names within a 25 mile radius. Never been able to find it again.

I live a couple of miles from the very pretty village of Loose, where there is , of course, the Loose Women's Institute.

On the same theme, I must mention, as well, the village of Idle, near Bradford, which boasts the Idle Working Men's Club.

Then there are two villages near Bishop's Stortford, Nasty and Ugley. Rumour has it that the local paper once had the pleasure to report "Nasty man marries Ugley woman".

Not just you at all Mr Pendejo....

I always wish that I had been born just up the hill from Pratts Bottom

Then, when anyone enquired where I was born I could answer

"I was born Upper Pratts Bottom"
