I was watching The Chase a few weeks ago when a "bubbly" station announcer woman told Bradley that to cheer people up, she'll sing Christmas Carols over the speaker between announcements. Irrespective of what time of the year it is.

I'd sniper her from a distance.

I am getting the train this morning.

I like that kind of thing, too (there used to be a well-known one at Goucester). However, I can see that hearing the same schtick every morning as you struggle into work at some ungodly hour, with only the prospect of delays and cancellations, could wear very thin.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
