Tech help 09:36 - Oct 12 with 1552 views FrimleyBlue Hi all we recently were donated what we thought was a 50 inch Samsung TV, for the club lounge However, after installing it on the wall, we then found it to be a monitor not a tv. How can I get the skybox to work with the monitor as the HDMI cable isn't working, the screen shows Mode not supported. I've tried reducing the resolution on the skybox but still no joy [Post edited 12 Oct 2018 11:09]

The monitor works well, as I can connect a console to it, or a laptop etc. It's just the skybox hdmi wont connect,

I don't think its that, there's 3 ports. all say the same, yet they work with the consoles and the laptop

You might need to change the skybox to 16:9, is there another HDMI tv that you can plug it in to see the settings?

Shouting at it should do the trick. Or beating it with the branch of a tree. VIDEO
Tech help on 11:00 - Oct 12 with 1402 viewsGuthrum I was looking at a similar problem a while back and the suggestion I saw was a HDMI to VGA adaptor and connect the phono separately. Never got round to actually trying it tho.
Tech help on 11:03 - Oct 12 with 1397 viewsgiant_stow As a fallback, could you play sky over the internet through the computer that you say does work? Maybe you don't have internet at the clubhouse.

Tech help on 12:51 - Oct 12 with 1316 viewsMannersBlue According to those specs it can't display 1080p. May be worth changing the settings on the sky box to use 720p.
