Off to Trent Bridge tomorrow, any recommendations for decent pubs in the area?

I would second the Stratford (in W Bridgford Town Centre), as it's a good real ale pub. The Larwood is good but will be rammed as it's on the TB site. Avoid the Southbank if I were you. The Trent Navigation (just down the road towards town) will be good if it's sunny.

Yep, definitely the Stratford Haven. Walk down the main road towards West Bridgford. Go past a couple of pubs / eateries and turn right...…..the SH is on the right. Great beer selection.

Cheers for the recommendations fellas! Hit up the Stratford, just left the Embankment, both great boozers! Off across town to see if the Organ Grinder is still as good and check out the new Totally Brewed place with the funny name.

The Embankment....is that also called The Dispensary or has it changed name? Went in there after the last game of the season a couple of years ago, when Forest won to stay up. Good pub.

We normally spend several hours in The Organ Grinder on the night before the Forest v Town matches...…...unfortunately won't be happening next season.

A bit different, but not too bad is The Sir John Borlase Warren, just a few doors down from the OG.

I'm starting to feel a bit envious now......

Agree it’s a shame, Notts is always a fantastic day out. And great shout on the Sir John! Just in the Scribblers brewery place, looks like a hipster’s front room but the ruby ale is ace.

Edit - and strong
