FTSE down 3% - travel companies getting hit the worst but guess what.....grab yourself some Tesco and Morrisons shares!

Honestly...f*cking madness.

Clobbering travel companies and the market in general is all perfectly rational given the large and unpredictable impact of the coronavirus and the measures taken to stem its growth.

Why would you say it's madness?

The share price is just a function of potential future earning and dividends and given the potential earnings of travel firms is hugely impacted it's all quite rational.

Would you keep your shares in BA or Thomas Cook knowing that lots of people aren't going to be taking holidays? You'd sell at the highest price you can which is now and if things improve you'd buy back in at the lower price with a large number of shares for your stake.

Government "We've confirmed with the supermarkets that there won't be any issues with food availability".

Supermarkets "We've had no such conversation with the Government".

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

My investments have been hard hit.....but it's a long term aim. I plan to purchase more this weekend as the deal price is quite attractive. Buy low, sell high.

I was thinking the same earlier.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.
