I was on a waiting list to have my tonsils out in 1996.
Got a phone call from the oaks private hospital in Colchester saying the NHS wanted to clear some of its waiting list, so if i fancied calling them to arrange a time then they would sort it.
I had a lovely overnight stay there, I remember it was the first time id ever eaten kiwi fruit.
No real reason for posting this, apart from the lovely continental breakfast and the amazingly fit nurses. |  | | |
