If our wages are as high as stated we should've got automatic promotion. We didn't, so the players demonstrably do not deserve these astronomic wages.
What is being said is that our players are overpaid underachievers. I cannot see why a salary cap is such a bad thing. It hasn't done us any favours being able to pay more. We didn't do much while we were paying them tons more than other clubs, so let's see what happens on a more even playing field.

On the flip side, this salary cap could effectively trap us in league 1. We had our one shot to get out, and totally blew it.

Might allow more youngsters to be given their opportunity, while allowing us to trim the fat. Need to get that blend right though, a team of kids aren’t going to get us out of this league.

Unfortunately unless the Premier League and Championship follow suit with a similar (albeit higher) cap .........and they won't of course............ the gulf between the top 2 divisions and the rest is about to become even bigger.

The drop into L1 and our inability to bounce straight back looks more and more costly by the day.

My immediate thought was that, the gap will be vast with Championship bills likely to be tens of millions more?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
