The wife and I had some deliveries to make off our patch, Tooting and Wimbledon, which took us near a restaurant we liked.
We parked up and wandered along, we'd had only had 2 slices of toast each at breakfast so very hungry by 3pm... Immediately on arrival I noticed they'd upped their prices by exactly £10, so the price paid by the customer was the same as we paid last time we were there, and they load it by £20 to be charged to HMG.
Very naughty, but we were so hungry and set on that meal we still ate there.
But that restaurant is clearly taking the pish

Indeed. There is absolutely no reason or excuse for them to hike their prices up as the discount is drumming up extra business and the government are paying for it within 5 days. | |

My understanding is restaurants had to provide details of pre-covid prices to stop this as part of their application. |  | | |

You are correct, unfortunately Harry Hunger smelt grilled meat and I was lost.
I reasoned it against a similar outlet at O2 Greenwich who charge a fiver more than their inflated price.
I hadn't been to this place for sometime so "maybe" this was the pre-covid price after some dramatic rises... I mean there's a place nearby that used to be a spoons that is a Revolution bar... Things change. | |

I've noticed that in some places there are altered prices, however doesnt apply to all.
The place I've been to where the rishi sunak meal deal has had the biggest impact on the price so far is Five Guys. |  | | |
