First trip to the cinema since lockdown.. Tenet... 21:04 - Aug 31 with 1431 views | unstableblue | .. Great to return to the cinema... but how they are going to stay afloat is beyond me. Lots of staff to police the rules (masks on way in, masks off during film, escorted from cinema, remove all rubbish).. but just no one there, 8 people in a large screen, so huge distancing... but seems economically unsustainable I bought a London Pride in support (?!) Alas Tenet, despite some great directing, scenes, and acting, is a film trying too hard to shove a complex narrative down your throat and doesn't work and at times becomes ludicrous. Look forward to the next trip though.

First trip to the cinema since lockdown.. Tenet... on 21:14 - Aug 31 with 1390 views | vapour_trail | My brother runs one of the smaller cinema chains. They’re waiting to see how Tenet performs in the states. He thinks that’ll be key to whether more content is forthcoming as everyone is keeping their powder dry currently. It’s lack of content that everyone is really worried about. He says they’ll sustain most cinemas with distancing, but they need the new films to bring people through the door.

Yes I had read as much, and by the number of posters and trailers content is thin on the ground Sadly Tenet is not going to get the word of mouth draw needed, as whilst being a blockbuster, it is simply too inaccessible to draw large audiences I’m up for going and perhaps re runs of classics is key Not Highlander though.., I watched this expecting some 80s cheese that would be entertaining... absolutely frickin terrible

First trip to the cinema since lockdown.. Tenet... on 22:41 - Aug 31 with 1248 views | FoD_Blue | I'm surprised to read "masks off during film". I thought that masks were supposed to stay in place during the film unless you were eating. This is the only thing that has put me off visiting the cinema as 2-3 hours wearing a mask is not my idea of an enjoyable evening. If I am mistaken and you don't have to wear masks during the film, then I will be back to the cinema in a shot!
First trip to the cinema since lockdown.. Tenet... on 04:19 - Sep 1 with 1125 views | bournemouthblue | I felt the same way about my girlfriend's gym, it's been very quiet since the return and they are doing everything they can to make you feel safe My backstreet heavy weights gym on the other hand seems to be busier than ever! I'll give Tenet a crack, it looks interesting but I'm well aware of how trailers can make films look far better than they actually are. I never judge a film until I see it in the full.

Certainly Cineworld are saying masks on during a film unless eating/drinking. But assume that is easily abused as that is all a lot of people do!

Agree. I would not feel comfortable sitting in an air conditioned cinema at all. I rarely go anyhow to be honest - last film I saw there was Rocketman. I want to see the new Bill and Ted one, but will wait for the DVD or see if there is some way Chromecast can screen it and we hire it. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
First trip to the cinema since lockdown.. Tenet... on 11:22 - Sep 1 with 878 views | Sikamikanico | I have been a couple of time to the Braintree Cineworld and it's masks off during the film whether or not you are eating. Saw Tenet Friday and including me there were 6 of us in a big screen. Tenet was the wrong blockbuster to go first. Nolan films are notoriously convoluted.
