I was just looking through Bromley FC's wiki page 19:32 - Sep 26 with 1350 views | BrixtonBlue | (as I'm managing them on Championship Manager 17) and noticed one Liam Trotter now plays for them. Surprising. Fallen quite a long way hasn't he?

I was just looking through Bromley FC's wiki page on 19:40 - Sep 26 with 1299 views | Swansea_Blue | He's done fairly well for himself. Been at, or close to our level, for most of his career. He was never the most skillful was he, so I can see why he's dropping down the leagues now he's getting to the tail end of his career. In a simialr vein, I watched Matt Bloomfield captain Wycombe today. He's an old man now in football terms (36). He played most of the game before being subbed mid way through the 2nd half, not that they were any better for the change. It doesn't seem 5 minutes since he was coming through the yoof. I was telling Mrs Swanners 'he's one of ours, he's one of ours!', but he's made 539 appearances for Wycombe and 1 for us. So not really one of ours at all. Not often you get someone spend virtaully all their career at one club. He's been ther 17 years. Probably a legend for them, not that I'd know. [Post edited 26 Sep 2020 19:45]

Yeah, that destroyed his career with us. I seem to remember it was very undeserved too. I always liked his attitude; didn’t he run the midfield engine room at Millwall for ages?

He's 32... few years left in him yet. I just thought he'd be above National League level.

He won't be the first to tail off early. The Beat retred at 28 (same as me, but he was a tiny bit better).

I took them on as they're just down the road from me now (well a 20 minute drive). Won the National League with 120 points, now top of League 2 after 11 games (8 wins and 3 draws).

We used to play six aside at the ground. We’d often end up getting batteries by a team that had a few Bromley players in.

It wasn't televised. Was 3pm on a Saturday.

I was there. I remember Glen Johnson looking like bambi on ice. We infuriatingly kept sending high crosses into their box which their team of giants easily dealt with. Look at the time of that report. 3pm Saturday kick off. Definitely wasn't on tv

My dad was the Bromley physio when I was about 8. I went with him from time to time, remember getting in trouble for kicking a ball onto the pitch by mistake during a game....

Did this 'accident' take place just as the opposition were about to score?

It was definitely streamed somewhere, I can remember having it on my laptop and the picture kept freezing, and it did at the point of the sending off.

Watched it in Johannesburg. As Phil's preview states it was being shown outside of the UK. Town Unchanged Against Pompey 4th Jan 2008 11:28Town boss Jim Magilton could name an unchanged side when Portsmouth visit Portman Road for Saturday's FA Cup third round tie. Skipper Jason De Vos and frontman Alan Lee are once again doubts. 0 Trotter's best moment for Town was probably a few days earlier on New Years Day when he put in the cross for David Wright to score vs West Brom. Was a good win that. We really should have got into the play-offs that season.
