Brentford's new ground looks decent on 14:29 - Jan 24 with 758 views | Ftnfwest | Yes but we should be careful what we wish for and accept our place in the world. Brentford are in another world altogether so for us to have demanded Barcelona as we clearly did in summer 2018 ( and for a year or so before that) means we deserve all we get, probably

I don't think anyone was asking for all our best players to be sold and replaced with lower league hopefuls, we can thank Paul Hurst for that one What has followed has simply been a continuation of the chaos What a time to be alive!

Brentford's new ground looks decent on 14:36 - Jan 24 with 730 views | dominiciawful | Isn't it depressing looking at the Championship table and seeing the top six made up of Norwich, Swansea, Watford, Brentford, Reading and Bournemouth... Bristol City and Barnsley in the top half, Luton in 13th. Palace and Brighton in the Premier League. Lincoln almost top of League One. We are arguably worse than Crewe and Accrington right now. Give me strength.

Absolutely, but we do seem to be the one set of supporters in the country that are demonised for dreaming of something a little bit better

We've been largely forgotten about by the mainstream, and anyone under the age of 25 who doesn't support Ipswich largely has never even heard of us and barely aware we exist other than the fact we are a football club. They couldn't name a single player, our home ground or what colour strips we use. We are to the majority of football supporters and a lot of the media the same was we as a support would have viewed a Stockport in the mid 90's. Nobody is demonizing us bar our owner who doesn't want to put any more effort into this part of his portfolio.

Yes the time we should have been CWWWF has long gone now, and there’s no doubt we’re an irrelevance now

Oh come on, people were wetting the bed over that transfer window! The majority wanted Hurst, they wanted the clearouts, they were all behind it but there's nothing wrong in being wrong - just don't rewrite history. This board was all for either Jack Ross or Paul Hurst, we're more than happy when we cleared out the injured wasters in Didz, Hyam and Webster and thought selling Garner and Waghorn to bring in Harrison and Jackson was good business. Young and exciting cropped up a lot.

When McCarthy went, did you genuinely want the few bright sparks of his side sold off, in some cases under the market value as well? [Post edited 24 Jan 2021 15:11]

I think most of us just wanted a coherent approach to bettering the club, with some entertainment thrown in rather than just surviving off 0-0s for eternity. Not sure what was wrong with that.

It reminds me of those Aussie stadiums which have them, presumably to make more sparsely populated grounds look less empty

Actually the majority wanted Jack Ross (hindsight suggests that was a near miss) Also, there was a lot of alarm in that transfer window on here, especially when Webster and Waghorn were sold. [Post edited 24 Jan 2021 15:38]

Brentford and indeed Norwich have been properly directed on 15:40 - Jan 24 with 556 views | unstableblue | We have had no coherent plan or strategy; we’ve never put in place a good mgmt structure behind the playing and coaching staff, weak CEOs, no technical/footballing director, reliance on the manager - who have all been bad appointments anyway Comparing Ipswich to Brentford is like comparing Kodak and Blockbuster to Amazon
