I think about this sometimes. It is pretty strange. As you say his PR was on point for a long time but he literally could seem to care less about that now. I wonder why? Is it because his salary leaked a while back and it’s given him the hump?

I think about this sometimes. It is pretty strange. As you say his PR was on point for a long time but he literally could seem to care less about that now. I wonder why? Is it because his salary leaked a while back and it’s given him the hump?

It was relatively easy when he first arrived, following on from Hurst and the sour last days of McCarthy. He played the cards he had fairly well.

Now there's nothing left in his hand and he hasn't the skill to bluff effectively. He's just eking out the blinds until he can take his pot and go home.

Lack of a gallery to play to at the stadium doesn't help. But also I think there's the fundamental thing that he doesn't really want to be doing this at the moment — clearly doesn't think we should be playing football in the pandemic. You and I might sympathise with that, and I certainly do with him being unwell, but I don't think this is the time to be dodging responsibilities and cutting corners. Quite the opposite.
