I think the suggestion is that Lambert does not want to play games.
However, to play Sunday had a lot going against it:
Lack of proper preparation with the changes and the inconvenience of an unexpected extra night stay ahead of the game;
Shrewsbury are in very good form (far better than us);
The pitch might still not have been playable and, if it is would not be in great condition;
If there is fixture congestion when it does get played our squad should be better able to cope than a normal sized one;
Being Valentines Day, probably would not have been especially popular with all the staff.
Let's knock Lambert for his failures on the pitch and not for this particular decision. |  |

Because it gives a section of the fan base something to moan about,another straw to pick with Lambert
I guarantee if the game had been played,same group would have been moaning that Lambert was risking injuries, desperate to lose a game to get sacked,risked hotel staff health ,etc etc

I thought it was reported that Lambert HAD suggested about playing on Sunday, but the idea was vetoed?
