I love Minsmere but isn't the development of Sizewell C quite far from the boundary of the actual reserve? This is the area between the reserve and the power station which isn't RSPB land (I understand it's Suffolk Wildlife Trust land though).

Unfortunately we need some reactors to provide baseline energy (maybe not in this location) if we are ever going to get near our climate goals. So then it becomes a decision on what is least bad, losing this wildlife area or pushing lots of wildlife to the brink with higher temperatures.

It was you that Mrs Pinewood saw in the dunes then.

She cooked me chipolatas for dinner that night.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Like factory fish farms, the impact on water resources can stretch far beyond the boundaries of the industrial site. It is for the power station to clean up it's act and/or find a solution, not for the already stretched resources of the RSPB to be compromised I think.

That's not what the blurb in the petition says though, it's actually to stop the construction of the new reactor.

Of course the company should ensure that the construction and running of the reactor is as clean as possible. If they are not doing then of course they should be forced to do so.

When I first started going out with my other half in the mid 90's I took her to Dunwich heath a few times to.........see the sights.

One of the unintentionally consequences was seeing a massive murmuration of starlings over the reserve. I sight I will never forget...... and the starlings.
