Dear Ipswich Town players.... 14:59 - Mar 6 with 645 views | unstableblue | ... the basics of winning a game of football is desire, intensity and energy... that’s the foundation! On top of that you add good system, passing and movement. We just cannot continue to not ‘turn up’ as a team. Warning signs at Accrington! A lot of work to be done.

Dear Ipswich Town players.... on 15:00 - Mar 6 with 594 views | pointofblue | We showed it against Oxford, Hull and Doncaster - where was it today? At the very least Cook should have had them fired up and that’s my big concern coming from today. He failed.

They had so much more desire, and as we completely lacked a decent press, we gave them the impetus, gave them the front foot. When we did click and press only 3 or 4 times we worried them. I thought only Wilson and Kenlock really came out of that game well. Dozzell and Bishop, Parrot, really weak. This is not a squad issue, this is a desire and system problem.

We weren’t that dominant or energetic against Donny. They just lacked firepower.

Weak press and losing all the 50/50 balls... recipe for disaster Subs poor, apart from Jackson’s energy. Sears terrible pass lost us a goal. And Edwards messed up 3 crosses.

That's my concern. I could have accepted a see saw game with loads of chances - Just one of those days if you will. We aren't good enough to win every game. We know that This however, was abject and with a new manager at the helm that was the last thing I expected.

We conceded a soft early goal to a side set up to mix it up, battle and compete, then found it difficult to get into the game. Then after we've equalised and are pushing people forward in the hope of getting that winner, we get hit with a sucker punch on the break. Pretty classic "one of those days" way to lose a game, really? [Post edited 6 Mar 2021 15:53]
