This may be a whoosh, but that's precisely the point.
It's not about what happened - it's about what would be "expected" to happen based on the chance.
For teams who actually manage shots on target (unlike us!), that "shots on target" statistic is pretty limited, as it doesn't differentiate between a 30-yard shot down the keepers throat, or a clean through one-on-one. [Post edited 11 Apr 2021 17:25]

Weird timeline that. If you asked me what were the 2 biggest chances in the game for either side, I'd have said Dobra in the first half (he's central, he's 8 yards out, anything on target is a goal) and Sears in the second (keeper is nowhere), but MK Dons apparently had 4 clearer chances in the game? |  |
