Has a rolling contract with the club. Heard that the new “Lions” very much want him to stay and that he was given far too much to do previously by Evans in a cost cutting measure.

Am surprised he’s been here so long.

Not sure what he actually does, just that whatever he does do, he does for other clubs too.

So how do we know whether we benefit over other employers?

Poll: W or W

Indeed, just because he was given an impossible portfolio by Evans doesn't mean he cannot be very effective given a more realistic brief by the new regime. He is clearly a talented individual.

Definitely. It just makes perfect sense for the man who left him to do about five jobs and didn't bother paying out £100,000 or so a year to get him some help would risk a £40m deal to ensure he remained employed doesn't it?

Truly impaired.

Has been very involved in some of our better recruitment over the years but fair to say he’s taken a backseat since Hurst moved on. A very decent guy, excellent at his job and extremely well connected with players, managers, agents etc. There was a significant transfer last January that he was behind that fell through late on (Tyler Walker from Forest).

He’s not employed by other clubs. Had links to that Nike Academy thing and Ireland when Mick was in charge. Turned down some fairly big other opportunities in loyalty to Mick and ME.
