It was like watching Rochdale away last season, but I'm not sure it will actually affect us progressing through the tournament. Despite our best individual players being up front, we've generally been solid in defence without being able to break teams down for a couple of years now. In the knockouts (which we should be qualified for now with 4 points) we aren't going to meet teams who play a low block for 90 minutes and aim to grind out a 0-0.
I'm not one of those people who has been clamouring for Grealish since the first game but I'd be tempted to chuck him in for Mount, who hasn't done a lot so far. Kane looks completely shot so I'd switch him for DCL against the Czechs, and if he's playing it makes sense to have our best set piece taker on the field, so on that basis Trippier should come back in. We need to play to our strengths, just whip some balls in and get some quicker players on the pitch. We won't win the tournament but those are the only things that will give us a chance against a decent side.

I predicted 1-1 and would have taken that before the game. Played into their hands of course and not good enough as a performance but we wouldn’t have won the whole thing with a comfortable win against them either. |  | | |

I enjoyed Rochdale away more. There is a kind of perfect incompetence that makes two teams not only fail to score, not only fail to register a shot on target, (and, I think I am right here?), not only fail to have a shot at all, but even not to look like they might have a shot at all. |  | | |

Do we get him to do a pope mobile type tour of Ipswich and Chippenham if he collects a 3rd one?
And a mention in the club honours list? I know he's 2 clubs down the line but our recent record is so poor we need to grab it where we can.
