They are amazing and Suffolk (Lackford Lakes amongst other places) is one of the best places to see them.
Have only ever seen a quick blue flash. Never actually seen one sat like this. To see footage of it (and as Moorhen says to see the way they keep their heads still) is remarkable.

Was lucky enough to see one on a branch over the River Lark in Bury last year. This is the first and only time in my 76 years that i have ever seen one. What a privilege.
