and I can't understand how this isn't murder which would carry a longer sentence. I cannot get my head around how a human being can do this. It's incomprehensible. I hope they both have the worse death possible ....and soon.

Thanks. I know I'm ruling with my heart and not my head but I found that read upsetting and that's unusual for me. The law is the law. I don't know what the maximum sentence is for manslaughter but it won't be enough for these two c**** that's for sure. [Post edited 5 Aug 2021 19:32]

I understand. Perhaps the thing to remember is that, however horrific any given crime is, there's very likely to be one more serious. The question then is, if you go to the hilt for the first offence, where do you go for the even worse one? I guess that's why we have judges who see large numbers of cases and so have the ability to rank them, if you see what I mean.
We also can't be sure the jury took the evidence into account in the right way: the jury's workings are secret. |  |

The maximum sentence available to the judge is life imprisonment. The ‘average’ sentence in the UK is 15 years. I am guessing they won’t be out anytime soon. |  | | |
