Poor debut syndrome 17:42 - Sep 13 with 859 viewsrfretwell

Poor debuts happen. Its happened to the best. It even happened to Henri at Arsenal. Walton let in 5 v Bolton, Aluko by all accounts was poor on his debut. Alukos second start he was much much better, in fact one of our best performers. Walton and Edmundson may well follow suit. Hope this cheers everyone up a bit.

I'm 100 sure that Walton will be fine for us.

Genuinely don't know enough about Edmondson so can't really offer an opinion, but it's not like he's some wildcard plucked from obscurity, several other clubs wanted him. So I reckon he'll do OK once settled.

Yep. Like a rabbit in headlights. Didn't help that Hunter and Beattie were hoofing it up to Mariner and bypassing the midfield.

Also Terry Butcher. looked very poor on his debut.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Not football at all, but on my first day of getting a senior nurses' post I turned up to work with two uniform tops and no trousers. I spent the day meeting various top bods and saying 'senior things' in a rather smart tunic and too-big scrub bottoms that I'd borrowed from theatres.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
