Apologies if it's been done already but what are the thoughts about putting on a home fans v away fans game in the fanzone before a game.

Bit of light hearted fun.

Love the fanzone. Not something you get at alot of grounds and something the club can be proud of.

Just thinking out the box to bring in something else a bit different.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

I admire your optimism and it is a nice idea, but can't see that happening unless we draw a non-league side in cup. Too much animosity between most league sides for them to take the gamble that away fans would behave themselves in a family friendly environment. The small minority that would let themselves down on both sides would be enough to put the club off I would think.

Away fans aren’t allowed to sit 40 meters further down portman road because the club/police have them located as close to the train station as physically possible.
In what world you you remotely think they’ll allow away fans to walk around the stadium to the fan zone 😂😂

There were massive queues for the bar on Saturday, too long for me I just went without, additional capacity is required for Town fans let alone away fans. I would like to see it as it is fun at the grounds where you can meet and chat with home fans over a beer.

I think having a named star there like Shefki is the best way to draw people in and get a good mood going. I don't know why at the start of the season and at the close of the season they don't have a couple of legends to tell a few stories and sign some stuff. The club does sell retro merch after all, a good opportunity to shift some!

I however missed Shefki because the trains were all cancelled leading up to Colchester so had to bus it most the way.

They should’ve had Pablo there at the same time, stood them at either end and then looked to see which crowd was bigger.
